03/11/2007An inccident happened after fight Gokhan Saki (Turkey) vs Magomed Magomedov (Russia). Saki slowly push kicked Magomedov at the end of the third round to instigate that he wants to hug him. Magomedov however, thought that Turkish fighter was being assoulting, started pushing and headbutted Saki. Saki's push kick was understood as disrespectful and not acceptable.
Muaythai event “Best of the Best”, Iran, Tehran 17.08.2007
17/08/2007The Iranian Government together with the Martial Arts Federation of Iran and the World Muaythai Council organized professional Muaythai event in Teheran on August 17, 2007. One day before the event the organizers held a press-conference in Tehran and checked the weight of the participants. The tournament featured 5 Muaythai superfights each of 5 rounds by 2 minutes duration and one K-1 rules super fight.

21/04/2007On April 20th 2007 Dubai Fight Academy organized Muaythai Event War on the Shore-2, officially sanctioned by World Muaythai Council. The amphitheatre at the Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina was packed to bursting point. Damas Group sponsored War on the Shore-2 professional event. Also great support the organizers received from the venue of the event – Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina. Pasan Taparak (Consul – General of Thailand) attended the event with other Thai officials.
Destiny in the Desert, Pro Boxing Event (Results)
25/03/20071 bout, Heavyweight 10 rounds. Kevin Monthly (Flat Rock, MI, USA) won over Eli Dixon (Warrenville OH, USA), Decision. Kevin Monthly was looking in the ring quite in good shape meanwhile his plump opponent Dixon, was simply fat. During ten rounds Kevin was snapping Dixon's head back with solid jabs and some rights. Dixon threw slapping roundhouse shots for much of the fight, was holding and tried to wear Kevin out in clinch. However the Budda-like heavyweight was unable to put Kevin into trouble. Very close fight. Kevin won by decision.
Amateur Boxing Competition in Al Ain
11/03/2007UAE Amateur Boxing Federation put on amateur boxing matches at indoor arena in Al An. The competition lasted for two days and about seventy amature boxers (juniors and adults) from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, and Fujairah joined this sport event. On the last 4 years amateur boxing in Emirates has grown into one of the most popular martial arts. This is no doubt the achievement of UAE Amateur Boxing Federation taking boxing in UAE to a new level. Dubai boxers training in Dubai Fight Academy made very successful sport performance in Al Ain.
War on the Shore-I (official results)
05/01/2007Yesterday picturesque amphitheatre in Le Meridien Mina Seyahi hotel became an arena for the fights of twelve modern-day gladiators. Athletes of different nationalities were fighting for the Middle East champions’ belts. Fighters arrived unexpectedly on boat from seaside soon after the announcers’ speech has opened the event. Splashes of fireworks on the shore highlighted spectacular view – fighters were jumping from boat into the water and running toward the ring. All that was accompanied by crazy drumming.
Professional Fight Night in Ufa, Russia (Results)
10/11/2006Dubai Fight Academy team has returned from its trip to Russian town of Ufa, where the promoter Alexandr Gochishvili had organized Professional Fight Night. During the evening in Ufa's Sport Palace there were 7 professional fights in different disciplines - Muaythai, K-1 and MMA. There are 4-5 events happening in Ufa during the year and this visit of Dubai boxers to Ufa was just a beginning.
Official Results. World Amateur Muaythai Championship 2006
08/06/2006On 7 of June had come to an end World Amateur Muaythai Championship 2006, organized by International Federation Muaythai Amateur (IFMA). The event has taken place in Bangkok, Thailand from 31 of May up to 7 of June and was elegantly arranged at MCC, Mall Bang Kapi. 441 athletes from 70 countries participated in this World Championship; three rings were open for completions during one week. Those seven days of Championship have brought Muaythai to another level.
